Oh no! ...Missed The Auction!

Sad for me I went to order the skirt purse that I really liked and they had sold out. Bummer...guess I was not suppose to spend my money on it. I really liked it though. If anyone sees any fabric like that let me know. Maybe I can get one made. Oh well.

On another note because many people networked and donated funds Flynn was able to get the surgery he needed to repair his ruptured disk in his neck. Yay!

Movie Favorites

When we were kids there was this movie that we watched all the time, it was one of my favorites, called The Trollies All New Musical Adventures. Well one night I was mad at Ken because he wanted to finish watching wrestling or something. So I told Robert to dump water on him. Little did I know Ken was holding the VCR tape of my beloved troll movie. Needless to say it got ruined and we never got another copy.

A few months ago Robert was looking for some of our favorite movies from when we were kids and he came across some youtube clips of the it. It was fun to watch parts of it again. Click here to see a portion of one of our favorite movies.

Another of our favorite movies he came across was Wee Sing - In the Marvelous Musical Mansion.

Wish List

A few years ago I watched this on 60 minutes. It was so interesting. I would love to be able to see it again.

While working at Zion's Mercantile a couple years ago a co-worker was reading this. Me being from Nauvoo I've been wanting to obtain a copy to read for sometime. Today I think I will give in and order it.

I'd also like to purchase a new skirt for my purse. I really like this one. There is another skirt I thought was cute. However, the auction for it already ended. It looked like this.

I heard this song several months back and find it be very peaceful.

What's Happened and What's Coming Up

Yesterday, I took my dress in for alterations! Yay! Lots to do this weekend. I have two exams. I'm definitely ready for the one today. Still need to do a little more studying for the one tomorrow. Then I have to finish an assignment that is due on Monday. It may seem like I have a lot of time to finish the assignment for Monday but I really don't because I have to prepare and practice for some assignments that I have to do with an RD. For example, I have to do an interview and there is a certain way it has to be conducted. So I need to practice prior to getting there. I have to be there at noon on Monday. Hopefully, it goes well.

Yesterday I received a card from my new employer and staff that I will be working with welcoming me. I thought that was really nice. Anyways, orientation is set for July 2 and I can't wait. Life is good!

New Job

Woohoo! I'm counting down the days til I start my new job! I've been looking for something more in my career field. I was offered two jobs. In fact I had started pre-screening for one. However, I received another offer that I couldn't pass up. It offered full benefits, more hours and more pay. I can't wait. Super excited! And best of all it will help me gain more knowledge needed for my ultimate career goal as a dietitian. Yay!

The wedding is getting closer as well! About three months left! There is so much we still have to do... get invites together, decide on flowers, find a clergy (that really needs to be done soon!), get hotels, and the list goes on and on. The good news is I take my dress to the seamstress on Thursday. Yay...one thing off the list! Maybe this week we can put some of the invites together as well. We shall see if I get some time as I have two exams to take by Saturday and the condos are also busy this week. Therefore, it maybe a challenge to find time.

In other news, Matt gave me a scare this past weekend. He and I have been trying to get the downstairs power washed the last couple of weeks. He borrowed a power washer from a friend but it didn't work. So he decided he would rent one. However, they only had a gas one available. In an effort to get it done he decided to just get it so we could the basement all cleaned up. Anyways, make a long story short there he got carbon monoxide poisoning. As I was loading everything up to get everyone out of the house he collapsed in the front yard. He woke up to me on the phone with 911. Oh it was an interesting night. At least he is okay.

After everything calmed down the next day and we got the house aired out Matt and I decided we wanted to relax with a nice DQ ice cream cake.

A couple of weeks ago we went golfing... well Matt and his brother golfed while Brittany, Maci and I rode around in the cart. He did really well that day.

Matt has also spent time repairing and upgrading his computer. The motherboard went bad in the other computer. He couldn't just switch out the motherboard because then the processor and whatever else would not be compatibility. So he kept what parts he could and replaced everything else.

As for me I've just been working, doing health screenings for my new place of employment, planning the wedding, and trying to stay caught up with my homework. On every Tuesday I have also been babysitting Maci so that Brittany can go to school. She is a lot of fun.

Today I am going to spend most of the day catching up on laundry and homework. Then preparing for my exams. So I best go get started on my to do list.

Stairs

Well it didn't rain for long yesterday. So Matt and I made a quick trip to Carthage yesterday to get some wood to build some stairs. Matt worked all afternoon to get the stairs done. He still has to level it. We need to get some rock or whatever to make it level. But here are a few pictures.

My Crazy Busy Week

Today is a GREAT day to stay home because it's raining! I have many things to do today. The good news is majority of my to-do-list can be done while sitting on my couch. Yay! So I just may get caught up on everything.

I've not posted lately because life has been busy. It has been good though. Work has still been rather slow. However, I've found other things to keep me running. Last Saturday I worked and then went to my parents for a BBQ. It was a lot of fun. Before leaving Nauvoo Robert let us see his house. It will need some work but I'm sure it will look nice when he is done.

Then Matt dropped Ty and I off at his brother's house so that we could go play at the park with Brittany and Maci. Playing at the park was definitely good for Ty. He got so much exercised. I've never seen him so tired. I felt really bad for him because when we got in the house he just laid down on the kitchen floor.

Although I had to work for a little while Sunday was another fun day. After work Matt and I picked up outside and prepared for a BBQ, which was to take place on Monday. It was nice to have a chance to hang out with Matt even if it was just cleaning up outside.

Monday was a full day because I had to work and then I hurried home to get ready for the gathering. We had bago, kites, bubbles and frisbees for everyone to play with it. Ty got to come out to roam the yard. He did a wonderful job listening and not barking at everyone that would go by or that he saw. Teddy also got the chance to come out and join in the outdoor fun for awhile. Although he was ready to go in I think Teddy had a lot of fun time being outside with us. Overall I think everyone enjoyed themselves.

Later on that night three of Colista's kids came over and stayed the night. They were pretty good. The next day I had all of Colista's kids plus Maci. It made for a very interesting day.

Cullen and Eden didn't like the dogs. I had put Teddy in his carrier and Ty was in the bedroom with Matt sleeping. When I let Ty out of the bedroom he just walked around sniffing and trying to lick everyone. No big deal. The problem came when he would bark at someone walking by because that would scare them. Anyways as long as Ty didn't look at them or bark at people going by they were okay...they would even pet him as long as he was not looking at them. Of the two Eden was more interested in him then Cullen was.

Maci didn't know what to do with all the kids. Eden would go up to her and talk Maci would just look at her. Ty and Maci basically sat on my lap a good portion of the day because Maci wouldn't let me put her down and the dog well you know that situation.

At any rate I think they all had fun. They flew kites, played with bubbles, had a water balloon fight and I don't know what else. There was tons of other toys outside to play with. Here are some pictures I snapped early in the morning while Tristan, Cullen and Eden played. The other kids were still in bed.

All the playing must of wore Eden out because she ate her grilled cheese sandwich and a few bites of applesauce before she couldn't make it through the rest of her meal.

Then later in the afternoon grandma came to pick up the kids. As she was getting everyone loaded someone called her. So she answered her phone and next thing we knew Eden had shut the door on her arm. I thought with her bones she could have broken it. And she thought it might be broken too. I did not know what to do to help. Anyways, at this point I basically ran around in circles trying to help. Obviously I was not much help.

Wednesday was a much calmer day. But Thursday was another interesting day filled with kids. I got up early and went to grandma's house so that she could go to therapy and get her arm checked out. There I watched the kids until she got back. Once she got back I loaded up four of the kids and came to my house. They argued the whole time. So that was Thursday.

Yesterday, must have been the day for me to find dogs near or in the road. The first dog I saw near the road was on river road. I stopped to see if he was okay. Yep just sitting by a dead baby dear. So I checked the tag for any information. I was able to call the vet on the tag give them the number and they were going to call the client to let them know it's location. The next dog was here in Hamilton. It was just sitting in the middle of the road for like five minutes I drove around the block a couple of times it wouldn't move. Finally it went to a nearby yard. Hopefully that's its home. I didn't want to stop because I had Teddy. He probably would have scared the dog and plus I was running late for Teddy's vet appointment.

Well that pretty much sums up my week up. Like I said despite it being slow at work I kept myself pretty busy. I need a vacation now.
