Christmas with the Clark's

Holiday Fun

Today has been a good day for the most part. Matt and I accomplished a gazillion things this morning and had a small Christmas dinner with family since I had to work that day.

My original plan was thwarted because my family  can't organize anything for crap and never come to my gatherings anyways. So it ended up just being the Clark's... which worked out well. We got to enjoy a couple of hours together without running around like lunatics. .... i would much rather be able to enjoy the holidays with each other. So I've decided from here on out I am only going to worry about doing my own family holidays... matt, baby, pups and I ... and if anyone else would like to join they can. But I will not rush around like a basket case just to  leave an hour later.

With that said we will be celebrating the new year when I get off work with games and snacks. If you would like to come you can. We will start at about eight.

Cleaning

It's getting closer!... Baby will soon be here. Yesterday, I had to work early morning cook. So I got off by 4:30. When I got home I was able to clean a lot of the house. It looks so good (not that it was real dirty to big with because I LOVE to clean)! But I had tons of energy and got a crap load of stuff done. I would go into details but then you would be reading a list forever long. At about 12:30 - 1:00 with a couple rooms left I forced myself to bed. So I guess I'll be finishing those rooms when Matt gets up... couldn't really kick him out of the bed last night to clean it. Haha.

Anyways, during the cleaning frenzy my parents dropped off a gift, our baby changing table! It is great. Looks real good and now I can finish getting the rest of the baby items but away. Love it. I'll take a picture later for everyone to see.

Merry Christmas!

Yesterday I worked so I am late telling everyone Merry Christmas! In all it was a good day. I took some of the treats I had made on Monday along with the gifts I had got everyone.

 

After work I got home and ate some supper before we all opened our gifts. 

 

 

 

 

Breaking to get a belly rub!

Once we finished I was pretty well exhausted. This last week the baby has taken up residency in my right lung/rib area making it difficult for me to breathe at night. Therefore, I don't get much sleep. But that is okay.

 

37 weeks

Since it was Christmas our appointment was today instead of the usual Wednesday. All is good. The heart rate was 152 and I measured between 36 and 37 centimeters.

Yum!

Today was great! In past semesters I've been so busy getting presents I didn't have a day to myself to enjoy the holidays. Well I enjoyed the holidays...they just seemed rush and I was always working on projects still. This year has been different most of projects are done. There is one that I still need to finish up.... we won't talk about that one. Anyways I ran to get some odd end things in Keokuk this morning. Then I got back, picked up and cleaned some before making some yummy goodness....complete with my favorite recipes from BYU. Too bad those who worked at BYU weren't here to help me make them.

A Day Off

Yes... I can't wait for tomorrow!!! A day off! I'm hoping to have a fun day of Christmas preparing. I got just a few gifts to get (not that I have any money left...lol) and then some baking to do! I am so excited!

Christmas is going to be so fun!!! Well minus working.

Bad Boy

Ty was a BAD boy last night! It made me so sad to get after him. He knows better and he did it anyway. Guess I'll have to re-wrap one of the gifts.

Deck the Halls

GRAND... that is how things are going over here! Yesterday we had our doctor's appointment. We got in right away as usual and was out in no time. The baby's heartbeat was 140 and I measured at 35 cm. Things are progressing nicely and soon  our little one will be here. Hopefully not too soon though. I really want the baby in January rather than December because I don't want the baby to have a birthday coupled with all the holiday chaos. Plus I have a lot to do yet with the holidays. But as soon as January is here it is on.

My work schedule has been crazy... switching days, picking up days and dementia classes. I can't even keep track of what I am doing half of the time. It is so insane! But in all the craziness I have managed to get some Christmas projects completed and wrapped! I'm still waiting on several gifts that I ordered and I have a couple more gifts I have to finish putting together.

But that is okay. I am enjoying this wonderful time of the year..... Christmas is my favorite holiday!!!!!

On another note I have finished one of my finals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That leaves one more left! So after I get done volunteering today I will be focusing on studying for my last final... that I will take after work tomorrow. Hopefully I cram all the information I need to know in my little brain and retain it by tomorrow night.

I saw this video the other day and thought it was hilarious!
