Disappeared?

So I'm soooooo slow! I began this post awhile back. However, the computer would not let me upload the images to blogger. So I gave up for a bit. But I am back and able to upload tonight!

Here is where I left off...

Tomorrow will be a NEW YEAR! I can't believe how fast time as went by this year! This past year as been one crazy year for us as we welcomed Juliana to our family and made many adjustments to our lives. We learned all kinds of new things as parents and continue to learn. Life would definitely not be the same without her.

To finish off the year I better post pictures and update about December. Let's see where did I leave off. Oh yes... family day. On December 13, we had family day. We spent the day making cookies, watching Christmas movies and taking a trip to see the Avenue of Lights in Quincy.

As I had mentioned previously throughout December Bellena watched over our house and reported back to Santa. Some days she had little gifts for Juliana. One day she brought Juliana a new hairpiece, as you can see in the picture below.

I'm sure next year, as Juliana gets older, Bellena will be a bit more adventurous and active.

Christmas night we also left cookies for Santa...lol. Next year we have to remember the reindeer but it was way too cold for that and we were extremely tired. Sorry reindeer crew.

With Juliana being so active this year we decided to put the tree in one of the extra rooms. The room is a little small so it was hard to get a good pic of the tree and all the gifts in there. But you get the idea.

Bellena also left a report/certificate stating she had been good and on the nice list this year with a letter that she would be back next year to check up on her.

Anyways, after getting our gifts open, we ate, watched some Christmas movies and let Juliana try to nap before heading to Grandpa and Grandma Clark. There was lots of yummy things to eat and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. It really was a BLAST! We LOVED getting to hang with everyone and make memories rather than rushing through like crazy people. Making memories is what its all about... my favorite part of any holiday! Dick and Mary did a GREAT job with everything!

Juliana was completely exhausted by the end of the night. She fell right asleep as Lance was holding her.

And last for the month of December... Juliana became eleven months old!!!!! Oh my she will be one in just one month! Our baby is grown so much and can do anything she sets her mind to. She is very determined and wants to be independent. Juliana is growing and doing so much we can't even keep up with what new things she is doing because she is constantly testing her boundaries and completing new tasks everyday!

Three Days!

Things have been crazy and I spend more time doing mommy things then getting to blog. ... And that is okay by MEEE!. I LOVE get to be a mommy. Some days are more crazier than and others. I have to remember that I won't get everything done like I'd like. In the end there is NOTHING I would change.

On Nov 29 and 30th Juliana had a runny nose. She has been teething so we just figured that is what it was but on Monday night she had a little cough. On the following Tuesday morning I got ready to load her into her carseat and noticed something was not right about her her breathing. I knew she had had a hard time sleeping during the night because of it but this was more than just not being able to breath. She was taking short breaths and her tummy was retracting. I called around to get some other suggestions on what to try because I did not feel comfortable leaving to go to work without getting her squared away. Well nothing worked, I ended up staying home and by time Matt got home she had not ate for 12 hours, vomited what little she had in her, was pale and weak on top of her breathing. So we went to the ER in Burlington. They got respiratory in right away as they could notice she was in distress. The poor girl also had blood work done, breathing treatments and a chest x-ray. Her saturation levels were low and her temperature was elevated. It made us so sad. Anyways they monitored her for a bit then told us that they were debating on whether to admit her or not. They said they like to look at the parents and decided we could take her home with instructions for breathing treatments.

Now in the chaos of everyday life December has come and is almost gone. Christmas is in just three days! We have been trying to begin some great family traditions. We have a elf, which I mentioned before. She watches over Juliana and tells Santa if she is good or bad. Twelve days before Christmas she brings fun things or activities for us to do. Often times we forget to check on her at least she doesn't need water like plants that I've almost killed this December. I've also been trying to read Juliana Christmas books but she doesn't always want to sit still to listen or would rather rip them. ...that is not happening. We've watched several different Christmas movies. It is so much fun. Oh and we also did a fun holiday day...baking cookies and looking at Christmas lights.

Well that is about it. Ty and Teddy well they are great. Ty runs around doing what he likes best.... licking and barking. It about drives us nuts. We try not to get after him so much but it does get really tiring especially when he barks at nothing and we just get the baby down. I could about scream and sometimes I do. Teddy he is a quiet loving dog who doesn't get in trouble much. He is just happy being here.

Sometime I'll have to try to post some photos and/or videos. But for today this will have to be good.

Christmas Is Coming To Town

I'm behind again! Juliana is now 10 months. She is growing faster and faster.

This sweet princess keeps us on our toes and makes our day brighter! Juliana LOVES to climb and get into everything that doesn't belong to her. She is a quick learner and figures everything out. But I guess she has always seemed like a problem solver to us. To see her in action (if you haven't) click here to see her in action from a previous post.

Although she is shy when around others she has been speaking/communicating more with us. For the longest time she would holler at us when we walked by. We thought she was saying "hey" but then we thought maybe we were hearing things. Others have been noticing it too. So now we know we weren't hearing things. She also says "mamma", "daddada" and the other night she said "bye" to Sadie and Joanne. Then Sadie said it back. It was so cute! We have also heard her say "hi", "wuv you", what sounds like "wait" and "puppy".

I had to work Thanksgiving. So we celebrated on Wednesday at my parents house with Thanksgiving Dinner. So nothing real special. But this past weekend was a GREAT weekend! Much was accomplished and relaxed. On Friday I worked early morning when I got back home in the afternoon I found the boys had went to the bathroom all over the house! They NEVER do this! So I cleaned and sanitized everything. Saturday we ran to Nauvoo first thing in the morning. We had to go to the bank and my mom's before going to pick up a cake for a friend at work. After we ran the cake up to Burlington we went to Quincy to visit Santa! It was so FUN!

Then I worked on a few crafts. One was a Thanksgiving Tree to scrapbook. I'd like to do something like that every year as a tradition for Juliana. We also got Juliana's monthly pictures (the abvoe pictures) and footprints done. Yay! I LOVE to see the changes each month but it makes me sad at the same time. She is getting sooo BIG.

On Sunday we decided we were going to put the tree up but first we went to get a few more things to decorate the outside with. We added candy canes, two trees and two deer to our one strand of lights out there. We will have to get a pic sometime. While Matt was putting them up Juliana got to watch out the window. It was so cute to watch her holler to daddy and daddy would play peek-a-boo back with her. Matt is a GREAT dad! She absolutely LOVES him to pieces! After Matt was done he watched Juliana while I ran downstairs to get the indoor Christmas stuff. I got the tree ready so that when she woke up from her nap we could decorate it. Bellena helped me.

Side note: Bellena is our elf we adopted her a couple weeks ago. She met up with us on our date night. So far she has been a good little elf no funny business in the house, just hanging out keeping an eye out for Santa. I'll have to take a picture sometime.

Anywho, when Juliana woke up we got the tree decorated and the garland up. It's a FUN time for me! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas!

Just A Couple Videos

Tonight we took a couple quick videos of our adventurer and smarty pants. Side note: Matt didn't know I was video and accidentally burped. So please excuse that.

Happy Halloween

Our cute princess turned into a little monster! On Thursday and Friday Juliana became a monster for several hours. Thursday was Nauvoo's trick or treat. So we hurried up to my parents house. Then we made a couple other stops to show off our cute pink monster. She was super tired by the time we visited with family and friends.

Friday I hurried home from work to take Juliana to a couple houses on our block. It was freezing! So I'm glad we were not out actually trick or treating. Then we ran to Warsaw to let everyone there see her before hurrying back for pizza and a movie.

This weekend we enjoyed hanging out together. Juliana was all over the place while Matt and I tried to clean/organize things. She has figured out that it is more fun to try and run from us. It is so cute because she isn't that fast yet. But Juliana gets so excited. I LOVE to see her smile!
