I've been wanting to get the Vibram 5 Fingers. But I've never been able to the other day Zulily was having a deal on them. So I was finally able to get them. Hopefully I ordered the right size and everything. I read up a lot on which style to get and what not. Guess we shall see.

What to Expect
So today I planned a BBQ. It was going to just be something simple and fun. My grandparents brought chips, corn casserole and deviled eggs. And Joanne made a cake. The cake was to be a surprise so I had Joanne take it through the front door. Since we don't have stairs on the front yet I helped the boys from the grass into the front door. Then I hopped up and grabbed the cake from Joanne. I was trying to be quick and swift so nobody would see the cake. When my wet shoes caused me to slip and spill the cake all over the floor. Sad for me. So after everyone ate I brought the demolished cake in for everyone to see. Can you guess what it is?
This is what it should have looked like!
Yep we are expecting!

Play Time
Last Thursday several of us were going to meet at the Hamilton park to play and have a picnic. However, the weather got rather crappy. Joanne, Ethan and I were the only ones who went ahead and ventured out. It was so fun! We had a little picnic, Ethan played and then we came back to the house to have some hot chocolate and watch some cartoons. Next time Landon should be done with school so then he can join too!

Clouds
The Catfish team was in Burlington and Ft. Madison, Iowa. For those of you who don't know what I am talking about Catfish: The TV Show is a series on MTV that Matt and I started watching last season. Basically it is a show that sets out to find if someone's online love is real and helps them meet the person they have been interacting with. The new season starts June 25th.
I think this is great. It would be great to be able to make whatever I basically wanted right here. But it is a tad expensive. Maybe when I win some money.
Have you guys heard about Zach Sobeich. If you haven't you should hear his story.

Crazy Weather
Today is going to be a great day! I have to work until 7:00 but it should be a good day. This was the post I had started before I got home. And it was indeed a wonderful day.
However, the car ride home from work I thought I might be swept away. Shortly after going through Niota I could see the tree tops fiercely blowing in the winds. I decided to call my dad and see if any warnings were out. A few seconds into the phone call I really thought a tornado or something must be near because the wind was so strong, the hail was tinging off my car and I could not see the road in front of me. I was afraid to stop because I knew if I could not see then surely anybody behind me wouldn't see me and I couldn't pull off because I didn't know where the side of the road was. Through prayer I made it through... I could see the road again. It was a great feeling. I'm glad that it was not a tornado I can't imagine the people in Oklahoma. I hope they are able to have the strength to continue through the devastation.
Here is one story of hope and an answer to one woman's prayer.
After I got home I was a nervous wreck about the ride home. The weather went from crazy clouds and darkness to bright and sunny, then clouds started rolling back in and it got really dark once again. Matt got some pictures and a video.

I'll have to post the video later. It won't let me do it.
