IMOM is a wonderful organization that believes no pet should be pts (put to sleep) because the family can't financially pay for a illness, injury or surgery. Recently they helped raise funds for a cat named, Walter. It is a pretty amazing story.
Basically the cat was in need of a kidney transplant immediately. However, the surgery was going to be pretty expensive and the family did not have that kind of money. Who would? Anyways, IMOM helped raise some funds and Walter got his surgery. He is doing well now. The donor cat is a shelter cat. The policy is that the donor cat will go home with the family. Yay. The shelter cat saves a life and gets a home too. If you would like to read about Walter's story and progress click here.
