What A Friday

Friday, there was a lot of work done around the house. The solatube and the air conditioner were installed (I think there is still some of that left to finish), the siding on the one side of the home was completed and some other odd end things such has preparing for other projects were taken care of. Also what little yard we have left got mowed thanks to Dick.

The basement is once again dry for now!... Thanks to Matt. He worked real hard on Thursday night to clean it up. Thank you Matt for all your hard work!
And because Ty is cute and waits so patiently at night for us to get done running around to take care of this house crap I got him a new chew toy. He spent hours chewing on it and then brought it up to bed with him. What a cute boy!

Tight Squeeze

On Thursday, Matt was able to pick up our washer. It fit perfectly in his car. Any bigger and it wouldn't of. The dryer will have to be picked up on a later date and with a truck because the box is too big to fit in his car (like the washer).

The siding for the ends of the house was started!

The roof shingles were fixed. There was a hump from where it had to be raised before rolling it onto the foundation. But not anymore!

Not Much

I've been busy with work so I'm a little behind on the blog. Here are some pictures from June 2. On this day there was some work done on the cracks again, the trailers that once carried the home had been removed and a tractor took their place, Frontier has been there to check out the cut line and it had rained some so there was a little water in the basement. Hopefully, once everything is completely connected water will not come in the basement.

Just Another Update

Tuesday we stopped by the house to see what progress had been made. The closet doors were put on, drawers put in place, cracks were filled, siding was started and the boxes in the study and living room had been rearranged to where Denny, the guy assigned to finish the house, would need them.

... See the study with no boxes in it!

On Sunday Matt noticed that there were no basement jacks. But now they are in the basement waiting to be put up. Matt also checked out the the visible pipes and wires coming from the house.

These conduit also appeared... we have a sneak on our hands. lol

On Tuesday Tracey worked all day to hook up the sewer line and water. John, our concrete contractor, was also there to help Tracey (since he had included that with his bid).

Shortly after the house was set a meter box appeared I thought I must have been losing my mind and that it had been there all along. But nope Barant had snuck up there and put the meter on. We figure he was the one who dropped the conduit off in the basement too. However, he didn't get to work undercover for long because we were finally able to catch him in action.

... And then Barant ran into Matt's bad luck that follows him everywhere and he cut an unmarked phone line. Oops. Well that's what Frontier gets for not making sure it was marked.
